We fit chargers for electric cars at homes and workplaces within 45 km of Aalborg. A standard home charger, supplied and fitted, is 12,400 kr and done in a day.
Home installs
One day, one fitter, one price
First we come out and look at your fuse board, the wall and where the car parks. That visit is free inside Aalborg Kommune, and within two working days you have a fixed written price that holds for 60 days. Accept it, and one fitter arrives two to three weeks later, works for four to six hours and leaves with the car charging and the drive swept.
Fit only, for a charger you already own, is 5,900 kr. Supply and fit is 12,400 kr. There is no deposit on a home job, and you pay by bank transfer within 8 days of it being finished. Read what a home install includes, or go to the full price list for cable, fuse board work and load management.
Workplaces
For the yard behind the workshop
Two to eight charging points for staff or visitors, at a workshop, a clinic, a school or a housing estate. The points share one supply between them, so four cars plugging in at eight in the morning do not take the main fuse with them.
A two point post with shared load and up to 15 m of cable starts from 39,500 kr, and each further point is 11,800 kr. The digging is priced after we have stood in the yard and seen what lies under the gravel. Two fitters start three to five weeks after you accept and are on site for two to five working days. Everything within 45 km of Aalborg is ours to drive to: Nørresundby across the fjord, Hasseris, Vejgaard and Gistrup on the edges of town, Svenstrup and Støvring to the south, Nibe along the water to the west, Hals out at the fjord mouth, Brønderslev to the north and Hobro at the bottom of the arc.
The site visit is free inside Aalborg Kommune. Elsewhere in the radius it is 450 kr, and that 450 kr comes off the job if you book with us. There is no minimum job size, and we will come out to move a single charger. Beyond the line we only go for workplace jobs of four points or more, at 4 kr per km.

History
Since 2019
Signe started Voltlara in 2019 with one van, after eleven years wiring ferries and fishing boats along the Limfjord. Six years and a little over a thousand chargers later, there are three fitters, and this is the first website the business has had after years of working from word of mouth and a printed leaflet.
The one I still drive past is a farmhouse yard in Hals where the cable had to cross 34 metres of old cobbles. We lifted every stone, numbered each one in chalk, laid the duct and put them back in the same order. The owner says he cannot find the line, and neither can I.

Things people ask before they write

Do I need a new fuse board?
Usually not. Most boards need a new earth leakage breaker or a little more room on the rail, and we see which at the visit by checking the main fuse size, the board's age and the space that is left. That work is 1,800 to 4,200 kr depending on how old the board is, and it is written into your fixed price before anything starts.
If you also run a heat pump, load management stops the charger and the pump tripping the main fuse together, for 2,200 kr. Both are on the price list.
How long is the cable allowed to be?
As long as the job needs. The first 10 metres from the fuse board are in the price. After that it is 210 kr a metre clipped along a wall, and 690 kr a metre dug in a trench through lawn or gravel. Paving and cobbles we price on site, because what is under them decides the day.

What if I rent?
Then we need written permission from your landlord before we drill, and we will ask to see it on the day. A short signed note is enough. If you move later, we can take the charger with you to your new house inside the radius for 3,400 kr.

What happens to my old plug-in lead?
We take it out. An extension lead, or a plug-in arrangement that has quietly become permanent through the garage wall, is the one thing we will not leave behind. Removing it is part of the job, not an extra line on the bill.

Which charger should I buy?
You can let us supply one: an 11 kW three phase wall charger from a mid range European maker, fitted with up to 10 m of cable, for 12,400 kr. Or buy your own and we fit it for 5,900 kr, as long as it carries a European safety marking.
