Two points to eight, for staff and visitors

We fit shared charging posts in the yard behind the workshop, the car park outside the clinic, the staff end of a school and the parking court of a housing estate. A two point post with shared load and up to 15 m of cable starts from 39,500 kr, and each point after that is 11,800 kr.

Groundwork is the part that moves, so we price it once we have stood in the yard and seen what is under it. Every other figure, down to the metre rate for a trench, is on the full price list.

We do not fit rapid DC chargers or anything above 22 kW, and we do not build public pay-to-charge points for car parks or forecourts. For a single charger on your own house, see home chargers instead.

Size of job

What two, four and eight points look like

Pick the nearest size for a feel of the days, the digging and the bill. Your own figure comes in writing within 2 working days of the visit and holds for 60 days.

2 points

One post at the head of two bays, close to the building. Right for a small team, or the visitor spaces outside a clinic.

Days on site
2 working days, with two fitters.
Groundwork
Often none. If the post stands within a few metres of the wall, the cable is clipped along it. Otherwise a short trench through gravel or lawn.
Load sharing
Both points run from one supply. One car plugged in gets the full rate. With two, the post splits the supply between them, so your main fuse never carries more than it can.
Example total
39,500 to 46,000 kr

4 points

Two posts across four bays. A common size for a workshop or a school with a handful of electric cars in the staff car park.

Days on site
3 to 4 working days, with two fitters.
Groundwork
A trench from the building to the bays, usually 10 to 25 m through gravel or lawn, sometimes with a strip of paving lifted and relaid.
Load sharing
The two posts read a meter at your board. The cars share whatever the building is not using, and the building always comes first.
Example total
63,000 to 78,000 kr

Four points is also where we will drive past our 45 km radius, at 4 kr per km beyond it.

8 points

Four posts along a row of eight bays, for the parking court of a housing estate or a larger employer.

Days on site
4 to 5 working days, with two fitters.
Groundwork
A longer trench, often under paving, ending at a small sub-board near the bays so each post has a short final run.
Load sharing
All eight points balance as one group behind the sub-board. When every bay is full each car charges a little slower, and nothing trips.
Example total
110,000 to 140,000 kr

Digging, and why it is priced on site

Most of a workplace job happens below the surface. We cut a trench from the building to the bays, lay the cable in a duct on a bed of sand, and put a marker tape above it, so the next person with a spade meets a warning before they meet the cable. Then we backfill in layers and put the surface back.

For a single home charger a trench through lawn or gravel is 690 kr per metre. A workplace trench is deeper and carries larger ducts, so it is priced in your quote after the visit. Paving and cobbles are priced on site, because lifting and relaying them depends on what they are and what they sit on. Every block goes back where it came out.

We lay ducts a size larger than the cable needs, and where you might add points later we leave a capped spare. Opening a yard once costs less than opening it twice.

Old drains, a forgotten water pipe, a foundation that steps out under the gravel: none of it shows in a photo, which is why groundwork is quoted after the visit and never before.

From first email to handover

Paying and timing

Write to hello@voltlara.com and we book a site visit within 5 working days. A fixed written price follows within 2 working days of the visit and holds for 60 days, long enough to take it to a board meeting or a residents' vote.

When you accept, we ask for 30 percent. Work starts 3 to 5 weeks later and takes 2 to 5 working days, depending on the digging. The remaining 70 percent is due by bank transfer within 14 days of handover.

We work weekdays only, Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:30 and Friday 07:00 to 13:00, and we close for the three weeks of the July holiday and every year from 23 December to the first working Monday of January. A quote accepted in late June may start in August, and we will say so on paper.

Write to us to book a site visit, with your town and a few photos of the yard and the fuse board.

After handover

The yearly check

950 kr per point, once a year. Charging posts in a staff yard get rained on, reversed into and unplugged by people in a hurry, so a fitter comes back, opens each post and goes through it properly.

  • A trip test of the earth leakage protection on every point.
  • Earth and insulation readings, written down as numbers, not ticked as boxes.
  • A check that the load sharing still balances against the building.
  • A clean of the posts, sockets and holsters.
  • Every connector head and cable looked over for cracks, scorching and worn contacts.

You get a written note of what we measured and what we found, to keep with the building's papers. If a part needs replacing we say so in writing with a price, and nothing is changed until you agree. The check sits with the other workplace figures on the price list.
